Online Courses Australia (OCA) is a provider of non-accredited training, we are not a registered training organisation (RTO).  OCA is endorsed by The CPD Service (CPD). CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities.  It enables learning to become conscious and proactive, rather than passive and reactive. CPD is a form of life-long learning or training in a structured way. Completing CPD endorsed learning gives you CPD points. What does the CPD service endorsement mean?

CPD Endorsement means all Online Courses Australia course content has been thoroughly assessed by the CPD body. Independent experts from the CPD body have assessed our learning objectives, learning materials, student policies, and procedures, for each course and approved the content. This includes the learning content and course assessments. The CPD body has endorsed our learning for continuing professional development so our students can be assured that our courses are of an extremely high standard.

Every student will receive a digital badge displaying their CPD points achieved. A digital badge is a virtual acknowledgment of a Microcredential, online course, or professional achievement. Digital badges are portable, sharable, and most importantly, verifiable. Every student receives an online portfolio where digital badges can be stored. So, you can share this with prospective employers, friends, and colleagues. You can also store all your learning and credentials in one secure place.

The completion of our courses and the accompanying digital CPD badges demonstrate you have taken steps to improve your skills and keep up to date with industry advancements. Our courses are provided 100% in English. How do I receive and begin my course?

Depending on the course, you may be able to start your studies right now! You can enrol anytime from any device. Simply choose your course, click ENROL NOW, choose a payment option and complete the one-page checkout. You will receive a confirmation email and tax receipt as soon as you complete the course payment.

This email will contain your course login details (username and password) and instructions on accessing and logging in to your course. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive this email.

Associated with TCA courses will have a 1-2 login turnaround- this will be emailed directly to you!

Assessment & Quizzing
Are there assessment or exams in the courses?

Yes, you will be required to complete a self-assessment quiz that includes both single and multiple-choice questions. You will be able to attempt this test as many times as you require, however you will need to receive a 100% score by answering all the answers correctly. This is to ensure you have read and understood all your resource/learning pages.

Course Credits, Course Completion Acknowledgements & Digital Badges

Upon completion of our courses, you will receive a Course Completion Acknowledgement & Digital Badge from Credly (and course credits or recognition of prior learning to future courses for selected courses).  This demonstrates your commitment to learning new skills.

Cancellation & Deferral
Is there a refund/cancellation policy?
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Online Courses Australia is an online education provider based in Australia, providing education to a global audience. We provide micro-credentials that are delivered completely online and our content is accessible worldwide.

Refund Eligibility
You are eligible for a full refund of fees paid under the following conditions:
  • Course Cancellation: If Online Courses Australia cancels your nominated course before you have logged in to the system, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • Cooling-Off Period: If you choose to cancel your enrolment within the 7-day cooling-off period, you are entitled to a refund, minus a $50 administrative fee (to cover processing and set up costs we incur).

Additional fees incurred through late or failed payments via our payment plan providers such as, (Debit Success, Student Pay) must still be paid in full. To withdraw from a course, you must submit a formal request via the "Request to Withdraw" form.

Requesting Withdrawal After the Cooling-Off Period
Refunds are not offered beyond the 7-day cooling-off period due to the significant intellectual property and goodwill associated with our courses. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us at 1300 611 404 or via email at [email protected] inserting "OUTSIDE COOLING OFF PERIOD" in the subject line. If you are outside the cooling-off period, you have several flexible options:

  • Transfer to a different course if your current course is unsuitable.
  • Transfer your course to another person (such as a friend or family member).
  • Pause your course for an agreed period.
  • Personalise your payment plan to meet your financial needs.
  • Reduce the amount being paid or reschedule your payments to a more convenient schedule.

Non-completion
No refund of fees or release from financial commitment will be granted for the non-completion of studies.

Appeals

OCA has a fair and equitable process for dealing with student complaints and appeals.

OCA has a three-tiered approach to complaints:

  • Informal complaints
  • Formal complaints
  • Appeals

If you have a complaint about anything related to your course, you should try to resolve the problem by speaking to one of our team members. However, if you feel that you cannot do this or if your complaint or concern is about something that is not directly related to your course, you may contact Student Support Services. If you cannot resolve your problem by the informal discussion, you can make a formal complaint using the appropriate form – contact Student Support for a copy of this form at [email protected].
